Spring Garden and Grounds Day – Saturday March 11, 8am – HES Grounds

Please come to help make Hyattsville Elementary School look great! Bring your shovels, spades, and rakes to do some weeding and tidying. Kids are welcome to help, too!

Parents Meet and Greet at Vigilante, February 16

HES Parents: Come out to Vigilante to chat with families and neighbors about HES. The Hyattsville Elementary School PTA invites all local families and community members to learn about Hyattsville Elementary School, chat with HES parents, and meet Principal Teresa Bey. The PTA needs you to come out to represent HES and let local families learn from you about what makes HES a great school.

When:  Thursday, February 16, 8:00 am

Where: Vigilante Coffee, 4327 Gallatin St, Hyattsville, MD 20781

Who: Anyone interested in finding out more about HES

What: Meet neighbors, talk to parents with students at HES, ask questions, and drink coffee. Drop in anytime between 8:00 and 9:00 am.

Why: Hyattsville Elementary is our neighborhood school, and it is an excellent school choice for families. HES has fantastic teachers, fun after school clubs, and a warm community. Come meet parents with children enrolled at HES to find out more about what makes HES a great school.

Ice Skating Fundraiser, February 12


Come ice skate, have fun and raise money for HES on Sunday, February 12. Buy your tickets here, or with cash/check in the mornings before school.

For $6 each, you get entrance and skate rental at the Herbert Wells Ice Skating Rink in College Park, MD. All money from pre-sales and onsite concessions will help provide classroom supplies and support materials for HES staff.

You can donate tickets, too! After buying for your family, add a ticket or two for “donation” and they will be distributed to HES kids who might not otherwise participate.

Ledo Pizza Fundraiser This Tuesday January 17th

Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!  That’s what’s for dinner.  Do you want a delicious way to help out HES?  Then please join our community by going to Ledo Restaurant in College Park this Tuesday, Jan 17th anytime from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm for carry out or dine in and 15% of your total check will go directly to support HES.  Print and bring this coupon (follow link) to turn into the cashier or wait staff to make sure your contribution is counted.
